Gramapriya (crossed with Azil breed)
Lays:
1. 200 eggs per year
2. Starts laying eggs after 21 weeks (approx. 150 days)
Ration:
60% - Adartheevanam (Ragi, Kambhu, Corn)
40% - Pasuntheevanam (Sanappu, Velimasal, KO1 grass)
Azola
Clean it (because of the smell, the hens might not eat) and dry it for sometime. Make sure the sluggishness is gone. Add it with the concentrated feed.
Chowchow, Sorrakka,
Cut chowchow into small pieces and add:
1. Kuppaimenipodi - Protection against cold. (During rainy season)
2. Thulasipodi - (During rainy season)
3. Karisalangkanni
4. Keelanallipodi - Improving digestion (for liver)
5. Sitthirathaipodi -
Disease Resistance:
Resistance is good.
Diseases:
Vellakalichal, Rathakalichal
Raising chicks:
Don't leave outside for 2 months.
For 15 days keep in a controlled environment (with light bulbs for heat)
Then raise in a medium sized cage by laying nel-ummi because it provides warmth during night.
